Glazing System Choices
The short list for the glazing systems that are appropriate for use in the project . You can factor in the appearance of the glazing framing in the choice of your overall palette.
Vistawall

Curtainwall: Vistawall CW-250 1" Glazing Captured 2-1/2" x 5 3/4" frame 1" glass
Storefront: Vistawall FG-3000-T 2" x 4 1/2" Frame 1" glass
Kawneer http://www.kawneer.com/products/Product_Information/products_information.htm Curtainwall: Kawneer 1600 Wall System 2" x 6" frame 1" glass Storefront: Kawneer Trifab VG451T 2" x 4 1/2" frame 1" glass
The Kawneer color palette can be found at:
http://www.alcoa.com/bcs/kawneer_namer/catalog/pdf/Finishes/Fluropon_Chart--F.pdf
Both of these were selected as they have the most options in finish choices. Which ever manufacturer the team selects, the same source should be used for both curtainwall and storefront applications.

CMU design ideas
OK BlueTech,
This is my first posting as I am temporarily without a computer due to a home PC crash but I found some interesting ideas. I thought we could go two ways, warm or cool. Warm would be reds and tan/buff/beige with a darker brown trim or cool which we could use blues/greens on whites and greys.
Warm examples:
Or if we want a more elegant look we could go with a glazed facing:
Trenwyth Trendstone Plus Colonial Red (U1-U3 accent color)

I'm still looking at ideas for cool colors, if I find a company whose warm colors I like better, I'll post it - I'm still looking for a company that offers ribbed cmu's

Christiana Town Center Construction
This picture was taken on December 30, 2006 at the expansion of Christiana Town Center. It is a Type 3 retail building, and it will be interesting to see as the term progresses how similar the construction of the project is to our class project. This is of the completed foundation of CMU units. You can see the offset foundation, which probably means there will be some sort of finish masonry veneer, possibly brick. The capped rebars that connect the footers to the wall are protruding from the CMU at the regular intervals.
Congratulations, Blue Tech!!
